In light of the extensive spread of the COVID-19 virus and the rapidly changing and uncertain situation for travellers, Sweden's Ministry for Foreign Affairs advises against non-essential travel to all countries until 15 June 2020.
North Macedonia has closed border crossings to foreign nationals as well as the main airport Skopje International Airport for passenger travel. From 8 April a curfew is in effect on workdays between 16:00h-05:00h, and on weekends curfew starts on Friday 16:00h and lasts until Monday 05:00h. Persons older than 67 can get out from 10:00h-12:00h on weekdays, and persons up to 18 years of age from 13:00h-15:00h only. Emergency visits to hospitals and pharmacies are exempt upon presentation of a proof.
The Swedish government decided from 19 March (for a period of 30 days ) to temporarily stop unnecessary travel from outside the EU, the EEA and Switzerland to Sweden. This entry ban applies to those who do not have Swedish citizenship / residence permit.
