Prime Minister to lead caretaker government
On 13 September the Prime Minister asked to be discharged from office. The Speaker of the Riksdag has therefore discharged the Prime Minister and the other ministers of their duties. They will, however, remain in their posts until a new government is in place. The Government is thus a caretaker government.
