Join our Bangkok Climate Action Week: Youth Climate Action Heroes Challenge!

For the first time, Bangkok Climate Action Week will be held from 28 September to 4 October 2025, co-organized by the Bangkok Metropolitan Administration (BMA) and the Just Transitions Incubator (JUTI). Inspired by the London Climate Action Week, this city-wide event aims to spark dialogue, drive innovation, and inspire action on pressing climate issues.
As part of this week-long programme, the Embassy of Sweden in Bangkok, in collaboration with the Stockholm Environment Institute (SEI) and Chulalongkorn University, proudly presents the “Youth Climate Action Heroes” project—designed not only to highlight the urgency of the climate crisis but also to mobilize young changemakers through a positive call to action. The project will foster inclusive climate dialogue while showcasing Sweden’s commitment to sustainability and regional cooperation.
About the Challenge
To inspire public engagement and amplify the voices of the younger generation, the Embassy of Sweden in Bangkok, together with our partners, invites submissions from young people in Bangkok for a digital campaign. This challenge aims to provide a platform for young voices to pitch creative and practical climate solutions for their communities.
Participants are encouraged to share their best, most concrete ideas—presented in either Thai or English—through a short video Reel under one of these themes:

Upload your video entry to this Google Form, complete the required information, and name your file: “FullName_BKKYCAH”.
Deadline: 12 September 2025 at 23:59 (GMT+7).
Finalists announced: 22 September 2025 via the Embassy’s social media channels.
Eligibility
The challenge is open to young people aged 15–28 (including PhD students) who reside, live, work, or study in the Bangkok Metropolitan Area (Bangkok and the surrounding provinces: Nonthaburi, Pathum Thani, Samut Prakan, Samut Sakhon, and Nakhon Pathom), regardless of gender or nationality.
Each participant, or a group of up to three people, may submit one Reel that aligns with the campaign topic and adheres to the submission guidelines.
Jury and Selection of Finalists
The selection process for the Youth Climate Action Hero campaign will be carried out by a jury composed of representatives from the Embassy of Sweden in Bangkok, the Stockholm Environment Institute (SEI), and Chulalongkorn University Social Research Institute.
To ensure a fair and transparent process, all qualifying entries will be evaluated anonymously based on the following criteria:
From this process, the jury will shortlist the finalists, who will be invited to pitch their ideas in person at the main event, which will take place on 3 October 2025 at Center for Social Innovation of Chulalongkorn University - CU Social Innovation Hub. At this event, each finalist will give a 2- to 3-minute live presentation and will receive feedback from the jury members. The audience will then vote to select the winner(s).
Note: All finalists selected to attend the main event, as well as the winner(s) and their guest(s), will be responsible for covering their own travel expenses.
Prize
The winner and one guest will be invited to a climate-friendly lunch at the Swedish Residence in Bangkok, hosted by the Ambassador of Sweden to Thailand. Other guests will include representatives from SEI, Chulalongkorn University, the Bangkok Metropolitan Administration (BMA), and other climate stakeholders.

Promotion of Finalists
All finalist Reels will be showcased on the Embassy’s social media platforms to promote their ideas and inspire wider public engagement.
Terms and Conditions
The Embassy reserves the right to modify or cancel the challenge or any event, schedule, plan, etc. directly or indirectly related to it, at any time and for any reason, if deemed necessary by the project team.
Consent and Protection of Minors Featured in Reels
By submitting a video for the Youth Climate Action Heroes campaign, participants (or their parent/legal guardian if under 18 years old) consent to the use of their video, photographs, voice, and likeness—whether captured through video recording, audio recording, or photography—for the purposes of publication, promotion, advocacy, advertising, or inclusion on websites, social media, and other platforms related to Bangkok Climate Action Week 2025 and this campaign.
If the submitted video features other identifiable individuals—particularly minors—participants are responsible for obtaining their consent, as well as the consent of a parent or legal guardian in the case of individuals under 18 years old.
All submitted materials may be used by the Embassy of Sweden in Bangkok and its campaign partners for communications and promotional activities related to this initiative.
Note: Participants aged 15–17 are eligible to enter the challenge on their own, but they are encouraged to inform their legal guardians of their participation.
Copyright and Usage Rights
Participants retain full copyright over their submitted videos. However, by entering the challenge, participants grant the Embassy a perpetual, non-exclusive, royalty-free right to use, reproduce, and publish the submitted content in connection with the Bangkok Climate Action Challenge: Youth Climate Action Heroes—including use in online platforms, social media, and other promotional materials.
The creators will be credited by name in all such publications where their reels are used.

ผู้เข้าร่วมแต่ละคนหรือกลุ่มที่มีสมาชิกไม่เกินสามคนสามารถส่งผลงานได้ เพียง 1 ชิ้น โดยสอดคล้องกับหัวข้อการประกวดและเป็นไปตามข้อกำหนดการส่งผลงาน
คณะกรรมการและการคัดเลือกผู้เข้ารอบ
การคัดเลือกจะดำเนินการโดยคณะกรรมการจาก สถานเอกอัครราชทูตสวีเดนประจำประเทศไทย สถาบันสิ่งแวดล้อมสตอกโฮล์ม (SEI) และ สถาบันวิจัยสังคม จุฬาลงกรณ์มหาวิทยาลัย
เพื่อให้เกิดความโปร่งใส ผลงานที่ผ่านคุณสมบัติจะถูกประเมินโดยปกปิดชื่อและตัวตน โดยพิจารณาจากเกณฑ์ต่อไปนี้:
ในขั้นตอนนี้ คณะกรรมการจะคัดเลือกผู้เข้ารอบสุดท้ายเพื่อไปนำเสนอผลงานต่อหน้ากรรมการในงานหลัก ซึ่งจะจัดขึ้นในวันที่ 3 ตุลาคม 2568 ณ ศูนย์กลางนวัตกรรมทางสังคมแห่งจุฬาลงกรณ์มหาวิทยาลัย (Center for Social Innovation of Chulalongkorn University - CU Social Innovation Hub) โดยแต่ละคนจะนำเสนอเป็นเวลา 2–3 นาที และได้รับคำแนะนำจากกรรมการ ก่อนให้ผู้ชมลงคะแนนเพื่อคัดเลือกผู้ชนะ
หมายเหตุ: ผู้เข้ารอบสุดท้ายทั้งหมดที่ได้รับเลือกให้เข้าร่วมงานหลัก รวมถึงผู้ชนะและแขกของผู้ชนะจากงานหลัก จะต้องรับผิดชอบค่าใช้จ่ายในการเดินทางของตนเอง

การเผยแพร่ผลงานผู้เข้ารอบ
ผลงานวิดีโอของผู้เข้ารอบทั้งหมดจะถูกเผยแพร่บนโซเชียลมีเดียของสถานทูต เพื่อแบ่งปันแนวคิดและสร้างแรงบันดาลใจให้กับสาธารณชนในวงกว้าง
ข้อกำหนดและเงื่อนไข
สถานทูตขอสงวนสิทธิ์ในการแก้ไขหรือยกเลิกการประกวด หรือกิจกรรมและกำหนดการใด ๆ ที่เกี่ยวข้อง ไม่ว่าทางตรงหรือทางอ้อม เมื่อใดก็ได้และด้วยเหตุผลใดก็ตาม หากคณะทำงานเห็นสมควร
การให้ความยินยอมและการคุ้มครองผู้เยาว์ที่ปรากฏในวิดีโอ
โดยการส่งวิดีโอเข้าร่วมโครงการ Youth Climate Action Heroes ผู้เข้าร่วม (หรือผู้ปกครอง/ผู้ดูแลตามกฎหมาย หากอายุต่ำกว่า 18 ปี) ถือว่ายินยอมให้ใช้วิดีโอ ภาพถ่าย เสียง และภาพลักษณ์ของตน ไม่ว่าจะบันทึกด้วยวิดีโอ บันทึกเสียง หรือภาพถ่าย เพื่อวัตถุประสงค์ในการเผยแพร่ ประชาสัมพันธ์ การรณรงค์ การโฆษณา หรือการนำไปใช้ในเว็บไซต์ โซเชียลมีเดีย และสื่ออื่น ๆ ที่เกี่ยวข้องกับ Bangkok Climate Action Week 2025 และโครงการนี้
หากวิดีโอที่ส่งมีบุคคลอื่นโดยเฉพาะผู้เยาว์ ปรากฏอยู่ในลักษณะที่สามารถระบุตัวตนได้ ผู้ส่งผลงานต้องเป็นผู้รับผิดชอบในการขอความยินยอมจากบุคคลดังกล่าว รวมถึงต้องได้รับความยินยอมจากผู้ปกครองหรือผู้ดูแลตามกฎหมายในกรณีที่บุคคลนั้นอายุต่ำกว่า 18 ปี
สถานทูตสวีเดนประจำประเทศไทย และพันธมิตรของโครงการ อาจนำสื่อที่ส่งมาทั้งหมดไปใช้เพื่อการสื่อสารและส่งเสริมกิจกรรมที่เกี่ยวข้องกับโครงการนี้
