Entry ban on travel to Sweden extendedended

To mitigate the effects of the spread of COVID-19 and reduce the outbreak, a temporary ban on entry to the EU via Sweden is in force. Travellers from countries outside the EU/EEA can only enter Sweden if they are covered by one of the exemptions from the entry ban.

Negative COVID-19 test required for entry into Sweden

As of 28 December 2021, all adults and children over the age of 12 must present a negative test result for ongoing COVID-19 infection upon arrival to Sweden. The test must be no more than 48 hours old when they cross the border. Swedish citizens or foreign residents that hold a valid residence permit, residence right or residence status, are exempted from this requirement.
