This year marks 30 years of Austria, Sweden, and Finland in the EU. This anniversary brings together the Ambassadors of the three member states to reflect on the past, assess the present, and look ahead to the future.
The three Ambassadors will focus on why their countries joined, the benefits of EU membership, and the challenges ahead, including how to keep citizens engaged with the European project.
The Roundtable will be chaired by Professor Brigid Laffan, Chancellor of the University of Limerick and Emeritus professor at Robert Schuman Centre for Advanced Studies at the European University Institute, after words of welcome from CEUROS Director Dr Michaela Schrage-Frueh, Dean of the Faculty of Arts, Humanities and Social Sciences Dr Sandra Joyce, and UL's Acting President Professor Shane Kilcommins.
