Extension of temporary entry ban to Sweden until 31 August 2020 and easing of restrictions for more travellers

To mitigate the effects of the spread of COVID-19 and reduce the outbreak, a temporary ban on entry to the EU via Sweden is in force. On 2 July the Government decided to extend the entry ban until 31 August 2020. At the same time, the Government decided to ease the restrictions for more travellers. Due to the coronavirus and the temporary entry ban to Sweden, the Swedish Migration Agency has decided that the majority of visa applications will be rejected. This applies if you wish to visit Sweden and are a citizen of a country outside the EU.

Schengen Visa application in Indonesia for visiting Sweden

Effective August 3, 2020, all visa applications for less than 90 days will be handled by the Embassy of Sweden in Bangkok. The processing time is normally 15 days. The Embassy of Sweden in Bangkok strongly recommend applicants to apply 6 months prior to intended date of departure.
