Temporary Road Closures Around the Consulate in Colombo (4–11 February 2026)

The Embassy wishes to inform the public that roads in the vicinity of the Consulate in Colombo will be temporarily closed due to the public exposition of the sacred Devnimori relics of Lord Buddha, sent by the Government of India to the Gangaramaya Temple in Colombo.

The relics will be on public display from 4 to 10 February 2026, and according to information provided to the Consulate, road closures will remain in place from 4 to 11 February 2026, until the relics are formally returned to India.

During this period, access to the Consulate may be restricted.
