This webinar brought together a panel of think tankers, civil society and private sector representatives for a joint discussion on needs and opportunities to advance climate action in the Euro-MENA region.
The discussion underscored that advancing the Euro–MENA green transition requires moving from fragmented, donor-driven, and short-term approaches to inclusive, coordinated, and long-term strategies tailored to the region’s diverse conditions. Key outcomes included the need to ground climate action in local communities; to support SMEs, education networks, and public–private partnerships; to institutionalize meaningful youth participation; and to shift from technical fixes to structural political and economic solutions. The session was organized in collaboration with the Beirut-based Arab Reform Initiative.
