If you are visiting Sweden and are a citizen of a non-EU country, you may need a visa. A visa is a permit to travel to and stay in a country for a maximum of 90 days. If you intend to stay in Sweden for longer than 90 days you will need a visitor's residence permit.
We recommend all applicants to submit their Schengen visa applications through VFS Global. Visit the VFS Global website for the application centre’s address, opening hours and for other practical information.
Please note that the Embassy of Sweden in Beijing is not authorized to process Schengen Visa applications from non-Chinese nationals who do not have a valid permit for residence in the People´s Republic of China and who lack justification for lodging an application here.
Residents of Mongolia may apply for a Schengen visa to visit Sweden at the VFS Global visa application center in Ulaanbaatar, please visit the VFS Global website for further information.
