Last week the Embassy received two groups of parliamentarians from Sweden. A total of 15 political representatives from two parliamentary committees, the Committee on Finance and the Committee on Industry and Trade visited Beijing, Shanghai, Shenzhen and Hong Kong for a week.
The purpose of the Committee on Finances’ trip was to engage on issues related to economic growth, finance, monetary policy, digitalization and AI. And for the Committee on Industry and Trade the purpose was to broaden the knowledge about China, which is Sweden’s largest trade partner in Asia.
In Beijing, the two committee had fruitful meetings with the National People’s Congress, National Energy Agency, AIIB, World Bank, ABB, Ericsson, SEB, Business Sweden, Swedish Chamber of Commerce, EU SME centre, research institutes and think tanks.
About the Swedish Parliament:
