The Embassy of Sweden in Beijing is looking for a locally employed staff member to join our Team. Please send in your application before 11 August 2019.

The Embassy in Beijing is one of Sweden's largest missions. We work with a variety of issues such as political and economic monitoring and reporting, science and research, defense cooperation, business and cultural promotion, public diplomacy and communications as well as administrative and consular matters. The Section for Migration handles a large amount of visa applications on an annual basis. Furthermore, the section is also responsible for conducting interviews in different residence permit cases on the assignment of the Swedish Migration Agency.
   
Main Tasks
- receive and register applications for visas and residence/work permits
- answer inquiries by telephone/e-mail
- filing and other administrative work
- any other duty that might be assigned by the head of section
 
Professional and personal qualification
- experience in administrative work and prior experience from public service
- excellent written and spoken English and Chinese
- accurate, cooperative and service minded
- good computer literacy
- ability in handling fluctuating workloads in sometime stressful situations
- knowledge in Swedish is considered an asset but is not a pre-requisite for the position
 
What we offer
 
The position is a local, full time employment (39,45 hours per week) with the Embassy. Individual salary applies and the terms and conditions of the employment will be discussed individually with successful candidates.
