This film has become the most successful Swedish documentary in history and was submitted by Sweden in the Best International Film category at this year’s Oscars.

Beloved Swedish TV personality Filip Hammar sets out to rekindle his father’s spark for life when Lars retires after 40 years as a French teacher in Koping, Sweden.

Accompanied by his best friend and co-host Fredrik Wikingsson, the trio embark on a journey to Lars' beloved France to revisit cherished childhood trips and recreate fond memories. Along the way, old connections are revisited, and new adventures unfold.
