Travel to Sweden during the corona pandemic

09 Feb 2022

There is an entry ban in effect for travels to Sweden from all countries until 31 January 2022.

In general, foreign citizens who are not EEA* citizens, travelling to Sweden directly from a non-EEA* country will be refused entry and rejected until 31 January 2022. Some exemptions apply, for example, fully vaccinated citizens of Armenia holding vaccine certificates can enter Sweden at least 14 days after the last dose.

Regular visa and passport requirements still apply.

No pre-approvals

The decision in each individual case will be made upon arrival at the border control point, and no pre-approvals or equal documentation is issued by Swedish Police or the Embassy. It is not possible to apply for exemptions by post, e-mail or telephone.
