Eastern Partnership’s past, present and future-conference in Sweden

On 5-6 November, the Swedish capital Stockholm hosted a conference to discuss the future of the Eastern Partnership and reflect on the progress made over the past 10 years.

Titled, ‘Stockholm Ministerial Dialogue’, the event gathered foreign ministers from the six Eastern partner countries (Armenia, Azerbaijan, Belarus, Georgia, the Republic of Moldova and Ukraine), as well as high-level participants from Poland, the European Commission and the European Union External Action Service.

On 5 November, the participants discussed a new political vision for the Eastern Partnership. The following day they focused on the future of the initiative.

Alongside the event, the Swedish Foreign Ministry supported a civil society conference for organisations active in the Eastern Partnership. Moreover, the foreign ministers of Armenia and Ukraine participated in a lecture at the Swedish Institute of International Affairs.

The event was organised by the European Commission and the Swedish Ministry for Foreign Affairs.
