If you want to visit Sweden and you are a citizen of a country outside the EU, you may need to apply for a visa. All citizens of Kosovo require visas to enter Sweden. Please note that visas cannot be issued by the Embassy of Sweden in Pristina. These are issued by the Embassy of Sweden in Skopje.
Sweden provides visa services in Pristina by cooperating with VFS Global
Since the 20th of May 2017 the Embassy of Sweden is cooperating with VFS Global in Pristina to improve the services for those applying for a visa to Sweden. There is no longer a need for travelling to Skopje to apply for a visa at the Embassy of Sweden; you present your application together with supporting documents and passport to VFS Global in Pristina, which also will provide information and other kinds of service. After a decision is made you then collect the decision and passport at VFS Global.
The Embassy of Sweden in Skopje will still handle the cases and make the decision, and the same documents as before are required. Information about required documents can be found both on the webpage of the Embassy of Sweden in Skopje and the webpage of VFS Global.

VFS Global charge a fee of 42 EUR per application (over and above the visa fee) for their services and visa applications. There is information that applicants pay higher fees than 42 euro, this is not correct!
Beware of Non-official VFS Global Sites!
There are several companies and private travel agencies offering visa related services. The Embassy cooperates only with VFS Global. We do not take any responsibility for information provided by private travel agencies or other non-official websites. The use of services other than VFS Global is solely at the discretion of the Customer and at his or her risk.
Check the VFS Global’s website https://www.vfsglobal.se/kosovo/index.html for the application centre’s address, opening hours and information about what documentation you need to submit in connection with the application.
If you cannot or do not want to apply at VFS Global there is still a possibility for you to submit your application at the Embassy of Sweden in Skopje. To do this you still need to make an appointment (free of charge) through the VFS Global call center. However, the number of appointment slots at the embassy is limited.

Online applications for visa
From the 22nd of March 2017 it is no longer possible to make an online application for visa at the Embassy of Sweden in Skopje.
