Business Sweden strengthens Sweden’s trade and investment promotion. Business Sweden’s aim is to promote Sweden internationally and enhance the image and awareness of Sweden as an attractive, innovative and competitive business partner.
Business Sweden was founded on January 1, 2013, by a merger of the Swedish Trade Council with Invest Sweden. It was the beginning of a common journey in the interest of Sweden. Business Sweden combines both organizations’ extensive expertise and experience to offer our clients a more integrated and comprehensive support.
With offices in 57 countries including the Czech Republic and in every Swedish region, Business Sweden is well placed to identify business opportunities for Swedish companies abroad, develop contacts with potential investors, and share expertise in world markets and the laws, regulations and cultural traditions influencing the business process.
An important part is to assist Swedish companies in reaching export markets with their products, services and ideas and to create business opportunities for small- and medium-sized enterprises to grow internationally. The support consists of advisory services, skills development for companies, events, and targeted campaigns.
Our mission is also to identify and showcase competency centers – clusters of companies, industries and skills on the Swedish market. Sweden’s innovation-friendly climate offers excellent investment opportunities in manufacturing, transport, science, technology, healthcare, music, design, tourism and other industries.
Business Sweden is jointly owned by the Swedish government and the private business .The Swedish government is represented by the Ministry for Foreign Affairs and the private business by the Swedish Foreign Trade Association. The public-private ownership provides access to contacts and networks at all levels.
Business Sweden works in the interest of Sweden through making our nation more attractive as a business partner – generating growth and prosperity in Sweden.
