Certain Swedish embassies outside Sweden handle migration-related matters, which means they assist the Swedish Migration Agency (Migrationsverket) by carrying out specific tasks related to the application process for residence permits and work permits for Sweden.
If you have applied for a residence permit or work permit for Sweden, the Swedish Migration Agency may instruct you to contact a Swedish embassy to schedule an in-person appointment. This may be required either during the application process or after a decision has been made.
