Opening Hours

The embassy's telephone switchboard is open on Mondays and Wednesdays from 13:00 to 15:00, and on Thursdays from 09:00 to 11:00.

The embassy's reception is open on Tuesdays and Wednesdays from 09:00 to 11:00 for passport collection and certification of life certificates, and on Thursdays from 13:00 to 15:00, only for certification of life certificates.

On Mondays and Fridays, the embassy's reception is closed to visitors.

Due to the current security situation, opening hours may change at short notice. Deviating opening hours are published under "News". Please visit our website before your visit to ensure we are open.

Please note that weapons are not permitted inside the embassy premises.

Passports and Coordination Numbers

The embassy receives visitors for passport applications and applications for coordination numbers only by appointment. Book an appointment here: Passports in Israel - Sweden Abroad.

Visas and Migration Matters

As of 1 October 2025, the Embassy of Sweden in Tel Aviv no longer handles visa or migration matters. Instead, you should contact VFS Global to apply for a visa, or contact the Embassy of Sweden in Amman or another Swedish embassy in the region or within the Schengen area for residence and work permit matters.

The Embassy in Tel Aviv will not be able to answer questions regarding migration matters.
