The Migration section only receives customers through a pre-booking system. Appointment times are given via e-mail (ambassaden.addis-abeba-visum@gov.se).

You can also call the section if you have specific questions during telephone hours. 

Telephone hours: Monday-Thursday 08.30-10.00 (tel. +251 11 518 00 36).

Drop-in time Tuesday and Thursday between 13:30- 15:30 is available for collection of residence cards, passports, taking the bio-metrics

Consular affairs for Swedish nationals including passport applications, only after appointment. Appointment times are given via e-mail (ambassaden.addis-abeba@gov.se).

For urgent consular cases outside the Embassy's working hours you will be redirected to the Consular Emergency Centre in Stockholm, Sweden.

Please note that passport matters are not an emergency.

Opening hours for legalizations and other notary matters;

Tuesday and Thursday 08.30-09.30
Documents can be collected the same day 09:30- 10:00  

No prior appointment is required. Entrance at the Migration section

For urgent out-of-hours consular assistance, you can call the Embassy’s switchboard and follow the instructions. The call will be forwarded to the consular duty officer at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs in Stockholm.
