HR Specialist

The Embassy of Sweden in Bogotá is looking to recruit an experienced HR Specialist to provide expert support across various areas of human resource management and employer relations. Through your expertise, you will contribute to the development and implementation of HR strategies and policies aligned with legislation, internal regulations and best practices. Your role is critical in developing policies that ensure that the Embassy remains an attractive employer, with a work environment conducive towards results and collaboration.

Role and main responsibilities 

  • Provide expert advice on HR policies, labor law compliance, and best practices.
  • Support the development and implementation of HR strategies, programs, and initiatives.
  • Assist in creating and updating HR policies and procedures to ensure compliance with local regulations as well as with the policies of the Swedish Ministry for Foreign Affairs.
  • Offer guidance on compensation, benefits, and performance management frameworks.
  • Collaborate with management to design workforce planning and talent development strategies.
  • Ensure accurate interpretation and application of employment laws and regulations.
  • When needed advice on employee relations issues
  • Contribute to organizational change initiatives and HR projects as needed.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in human resources, Business Administration, or related field (Master’s degree preferred).
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in HR
  • Strong knowledge of employment legislation and HR best practices.
  • Proven ability to manage complex HR issues and provide sound, practical solutions.
  • Excellent communication skills in Spanish and English (additional language skills are an asset).
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications.

We offer

Terms and conditions apply through Colombian law and extra conditions apply through Swedish Foreign Ministry agreement such as competitive salary, 39,5 working hours, 28 vacation days, annual wellness and health promotion allowance and six months of paid maternity or paternity leave etc.

Information

An appropriate Colombian work visa will be required if not a Colombian citizen or Permanent Resident. All employees must have a legal entitlement to live and work in the country.
