The Embassy opened on the 14th of May, 2014. It represents Swedish interests in the State of Qatar by promoting political, economic and cultural contacts between Sweden and Qatar, and by providing limited consular service to Swedish citizens.

Travel documents:
The Embassy does not accept applications for ordinary passports and national ID cards. Such applications can be made at any other Swedish mission in the region or in Sweden. Issued travel documents can be collected from the Embassy. The Embassy issues temporary passports for travel to Sweden. When the Embassy is closed to the public, embassies representing other European member states receive applications for the EU Emergency Travel Document. Get more information here
