The Castro Theatre San Francisco 10 May 2022
The 25th anniversary of the San Francisco Silent Film Festival is celebrated with live screenings at the historical Castro Theatre. This anniversary festival presents 29 programs with films from 14 countries and more than 50 musicians accompanying the screenings.
The Swedish film A Sister of Six will be screened with live music accompaniment by Guenter Buchwald and Frank Bockius.

Mattie Bye Ensemble
Three programs at this year's festival will be accompanied by renowned Swedish composer Matti Bye and his ensemble.
The Mattie Bye Ensemble is led by award-winning film composer Matti Bye, who has been the Swedish Film Institute’s resident silent-movie pianist since 1989.
