21 May 2018

The Nordic Consulates in New York will once again join forces and participate in the annual Pride March on Sunday, June 24 in support of the LGBTQ+ community and the ongoing fight for equal rights around the world. Anyone, regardless of nationality, is welcome to join the group.

We will meet by the fountain at Jackson Square on (8th Avenue and Greenwich Avenue) at 3:30 pm where we will have t-shirts, flags, and wristbands for our marchers. At 3:50 pm sharp we will head over to the formation block (16th Street and 7th Avenue) together for check-in at 4 pm - make sure to be on time as you will need the wristband to be able to march with us.

Please note that there will be a bit of a wait before we can join the march. According to the march organizers, our expected time to enter the march is 5:00-5:15 pm.

Please bring your own water and snacks. We also encourage you to wear comfortable shoes and sunscreen. Portable relief facilities and water refilling stations are set up at several points within the formation area.
