On January 28-31 Arab Health, the largest health care exhibition in the MENA-region, took place in Dubai. Twenty Swedish companies, representing a variety of different fields in the health care sector, were present in The Innovation Pavilion by Sweden hosted by Global Pharma Consulting, a private Swedish consultancy firm.
Ambassador Henrik Landerholm inaugurated the Pavilion together with Swedish Ambassador to Qatar Ewa Polano, Niclas Jacobsson from the Ministry of Health and Social Affairs and Commissioner-General of the Committee for Expo 2020 Dubai Anders Lönnberg. Swedish companies met with, among others, the Minister of Health and Prevention Abdul Rahman bin Mohammed Al Owais and the Chairman of the Dubai Health Authority Humaid Al Qutaimi and a Memorandum of Understanding was signed between Swecare Foundation and UAE Genetic Diseases Association. In addition to the companies participating in the pavilion another six Swedish companies were also present at Arab Health.
