Do I need a visa for visiting Sweden?

If you are a Ukrainian citizen, and a holder of a biometric passport, you will be able to travel to Schengen without a visa from June 11th, 2017.

If you are citizen of other country, you may need an entry visa. An entry visa is a permit required by persons wishing to enter Sweden for a temporary visit, for example:

  • on business or to take part in a conference
  • to visit relatives and friends
  • as a tourist

Citizens from the following countries/territories require a visa when entering Sweden.
Check the list of countries on the government’s web site.
