The Embassy of Finland in Tunis together with VFS Global is responsible for visa applications to Sweden (however not for Libyan citizens, please see information below). Please note that the Embassy of Sweden in Tunis cannot assist you with questions regarding visa applications that have been made at the Embassy of Finland or at VFS Global.

Libyan citizens cannot apply for a visa in Tunisia, and are referred to contact Swedish Embassies in nearby countries.
The Embassy of Sweden to Tunisia does not officiate marriages.
A Swedish citizen wishing to get married in front of Tunisian authorities will need to bring following documents from the Tax Authority (Skatteverket) in Sweden;
1. Birth certificate for the purpose of marriage (personbevis gällande vigsel), where the names of both parents are indicated (names of eventual children are not necessary on the birth certificate)
2. Marriage certificate
These two documents shall be legalized at the Ministry for Foreign Affairs in Stockholm (Utrikesdepartementet i Stockholm, Juridiska expeditionen).
After legalization at the Swedish Ministry for Foreign Affairs in Stockholm, the original documents can be submitted to the Embassy in Tunis, or the consulate in Sousse for translation/legalization.
There is a possibility of submitting the documents through an agent, for example prospective spouse or other close relative. The name of the agent shall be notified to the Embassy in advance. Please note that it is the agent who is responsible for ensuring that you receive the completed documents.
The treatment of the documents can take up to three business days.
The fee per document is 112 TND and is paid in cash when submitting the documents.
The Embassy of Sweden to Tunisia does not handle migration issues.
It is recommended to do an online application on the Swedish Migration Board’s website. On the Migration Board's webstite, you will find information about family migration, studies and work as well.

When applying online on the Migration Board’s website, please indicate the Swedish Embassy in Rabat, Morocco. Eventual biometrics (photography and fingerprints) can be conducted at the Swedish Embassy in Algiers, Algeria.
Tunisian citizens can do their investigation in applications regarding residence and working permits at the Swedish consulate in Sousse.
