The Embassy of Sweden in Bangkok is seeking applicants to fill the following position:
Position Title: Driver
Conditions: Fulltime, permanent employment subject to probation period of 6 months
1. Background:
The Embassy of Sweden in Bangkok represents Sweden in Thailand, Laos, Myanmar, and Cambodia. The Embassy represents and promotes Swedish interests in political and economic relations, development cooperation, trade and investment promotion and cultural and information matters. It provides consular services to Swedish nationals and migration services to non-nationals.
2. Line of reporting, organisational belonging, and job description:
The driver is part of the Section for Administrative Affairs. The driver reports directly to the Head of Chancery, also being the Head of Section for Administrative Affairs.
The Embassy has a team of three drivers working closely together. The team is coordinated by the assistant to the Head of Mission, i.e. the Ambassador. The team’s primary task is to serve the entire Embassy with driving orders and messenger services. Occasionally travelling/driving outside Bangkok to other destinations/parts of/within Thailand is required. The driver is expected to be able to work outside office hours. Total working hours per week is forty-five (45). Overtime is paid for work during weekends and on Embassy holidays. Overtime is not paid for work outside office hours on weekdays.

The work environment is dynamic and from time to time characterized by high pace. Flexibility and ability to quickly adjust to change and new directives is essential, including outside office hours.

Prior work experience with an Embassy and/or an international organization is considered as an added value.
