Repatriation flights Air France & KLM Johannesburg & Cape Town August & September

More repatriation flights from South Africa have been released with KLM and Air France. The following flights have been loaded: - Air France 30th of August Johannesburg - KLM 29th of August, 5th& 12th of September Johannesburg - KLM 30th of August, 6th & 13th of September Cape Town

As usual seats for these repatriation flights can be booked on the website ( or or the call centre (+27102050100 & +27102050101).

Please find attached the information about this flight. For the website, you need to search specifically for the date and select one-way, otherwise it does not show up.

From the 1st of September 2020 the embassy will no longer provide travelers with a Certificate of Travel. The 18th of August 2020, the President Cyril Ramaphosa announce lockdown level 2. During level 2 you are allowed to move in-between province and fly domestic. 

If you are South Africa citizen with a residence/Schengen visa to Sweden, we will continue to provide you with Explanatory letter. For us to be able to issue you the letter please submit flight information and passport copy to the following address:

The Embassy would strongly recommend everyone that wishes to travel back to Sweden, to use confirmed flights that are available. It is still highly uncertain if and when regular flights may be allowed again.
