Cancellation of Prime Minister of Sweden, Mr Stefan Löfven's, planned visit to South Africa on 8-10 March 2020

The Prime Minister of Sweden, Mr Stefan Löfven, has had to cancel his planned visit to South Africa on March 8-10 this year.

The reason for the cancellation is that the Prime Minister needs to remain in Sweden in order to lead the Government’s response to the corona virus in Sweden.

In agreement with President Cyril Ramaphosa, it has been decided to postpone the visit and the meeting of the Bi-National Commission to a later date.
