It is open to key stakeholders in the fashion industry: government and policy; clothing manufacturers and suppliers, clothing retailers, fashion designers, academia (fashion schools and students) and influencers.

Event context:

The movement towards sustainable fashion is becoming imminent across the globe due to the fashion industry’s harsh impact on both people and the environment.  Despite this growing momentum, many stakeholders in the ecosystem consumers, manufacturers, designers, government, academia etc. still find it difficult to forge a way towards a more sustainable industry.

There are many barriers to this necessary goal and the Future of Fashion aims to apply a global and locally relevant perspective to unpacking the issues.

Key event themes:

  • Creating awareness and collaboration about sustainable fashion
  • A space to learn and share ideas and knowledge
  • Think globally act locally – resources available to help people & industry to be more sustainable?
