1961 – 2021: Sweden marks 60 years of diplomatic relations with Nigeria

October 3, 2021 marked 60 years of Sweden-Nigeria diplomatic relations. The Embassy celebrated the occasion by organizing a high-level photo exhibition highlighting some memories and successes so far recorded since 1961.

The event which held at the Swedish Ambassador’s residence on Thursday, September 30 had in attendance about 30 guests including Governor Douye Diri, Executive Governor of Bayelsa State; Dr. Isa Pantami, the Minister of Communication and Digital Economy; Amb. Akinremi Bolaji, the Director Consular and Legal Department, Federal Ministry of Foreign Affairs; Amb. Godknows Igali, former Nigerian Ambassador to Sweden among others.

In all, there were 11 frames and 29 pictures displayed and carefully arranged across the hall and dining area of the residence. The exhibition included images from each decades, cultural exchange and business cooperation. Some media representatives were present including TVC, News Agency of Nigeria and NewsCentral TV. There was also a separate interview with Channels TV.
