Background: Since its launch in 2009, the EaP has served to strengthen the strategic relationship between Armenia, Azerbaijan, Belarus, Georgia, Moldova and Ukraine and the EU and its Member States, based on common values, a shared ownership and responsibility, bringing partner countries closer to the EU. Achievements that were not foreseen at the start are today cornerstones of the EaP (Association Agreements, DCFTA, CEPA, visa free travel, Partnership Priorities). At the EaP Summit in 2017 a differentiated and more focussed approach was adopted and 20 deliverables for 2020 were set as flagship goals for ongoing reforms.
Within a special focus on Connectivity and Resilience: How to evaluate the past 10 years of EaP? What are the strengths of EaP and which areas need improvement? What to expect from the next years? These are some of the aspects our high profile panellists will address during the discussion held in the context of the upcoming EaP 10th anniversary.
