On April 20 the awards ceremony of the #Global Goals writing competition took place at the Embassy of Sweden in Vilnius.
This festive event has finalized the essay competition which was launched on the occasion of the celebration of the Centenary of the Restoration of the Lithuanian State in 2018. With its focus being on the UN Sustainable Development Agenda, the competition has aimed at spreading knowledge about the Global Goals and the important role of educators in engaging young people in sustainable development. Guided by the Goals, Lithuanian students have submitted 170 essays, showing their good intentions, critical reasoning, creativity, determination, which are all essential in reaching the Global Goals.
Special jury of the competition had nominated best essays and announced three winners. They are:
Erika Rindokaitė, Kotryna Meškytė ir Tadas Alčauskas.
