Updated routines for migration process (COVID-19)

In view of the ongoing outbreak of the Corona virus (Covid-19) the Swedish Embassy in New Delhi has new information regarding the migration process at the Embassy. VFS Global in India has closed all their operations in India until 31 of March 2020. It is no longer possible to submit applications at their application centers. Applicants for Schengen visas must therefore be handed in at the Embassy of Sweden in New Delhi this also includes applications from Nepal. Please contact the Embassy to book an appointment. We will keep our phonelines open every day between 14-16 and you can always contact us on our visa mail box visa.new-delhi@gov.se.

Beginning Thursday the 19th of March, you must contact us by email (visa.new-delhi@gov.se) and schedule your visit in advance. Only the following applicants will be provided appointments:

  • Applicants who have received positive decisions and need to submit biometrics (for their residence permit cards).
  • Applicants who wish to submit applications which are not possible to submit online (until 31 March 2020 that also includes applications for Schengen visas).
