Negative COVID-19 test required for entry into Sweden

Foreign citizens age 18 and above need to document that they do not have an active covid-19 infection in order to enter Sweden. The test result can be max 48 hours old.

The test results need to verify that the traveler do not have an ongoing covid-19 infection. According to the The Public Health Agency of Sweden, this can be done with a negative PCR, LAMP, TMA or antigen test. The documentation should be in Swedish, English, French, Norwegian or Danish.

Tests taken at the Budapest airport coronavirus testing center are accepted. Please see the website of the Airport for further information. 

It is however not possible to get tested after arrival to Sweden.

Please also observe that persons who have previously had a covid-19 infection or who have been vaccinated still needs to present a negative test result in order to enter Sweden.
Hungarian vaccination/immunity cards are not valid for entering Sweden.
