The Swedish Institute Alexandria (SwedAlex) is a dialogue institute located in Alexandria, Egypt, part of the Swedish Ministry of Foreign Affairs. We promote peace and pluralism through dialogue and build networks between the Middle East, North Africa and Europe.
SwedAlex arranges conferences, seminars, workshops, debates, trainings and intercultural, intergenerational and interfaith projects and exchange programs.
Swedish Institute Alexandria has been present in Egypt since the year 2000 further to a presidential decree ratified by a decision from the Egyptian Parliament and an agreement between both the Egyptian and Swedish Governments.
