The Embassy of Sweden is seeking an experienced and flexible driver to join our administrative team in Beijing. The successful applicant will be responsible for providing professional and secure transportation services for staff and visitors, including VIPs. Administrative duties are also included in the job description. Starting time is mid-February/early March 2020.

Your work place
The Embassy in Beijing is one of Sweden's largest foreign missions. Main Tasks
The position requires professional transportation of Embassy staff members as well as of incoming visitors. You will, together with the other drivers at the Embassy, be responsible for the official Embassy cars – manage all the required supplies for the vehicles as well as car maintenance, cleaning and regular service (including keeping a detailed log book of trips and fuel consumption). The position also includes certain administrative duties such as delivery of goods and invitations, performing of minor janitorial services, moving of furniture and other administrative needs within the Embassy. The position requires a flexibility to perform ad hoc office duties as and when required.

Professional and personal qualifications
- Extensive experience as a professional driver/chauffeur with a minimum of seven years of driving with an impeccable record and a clean license.  
- Experience driving diplomatic or senior management staff is an asset.  
- Good customer service and communication skills for dealing with people at all levels.  
- Good command of English, both oral and written will be taken into account
- Willingness to be flexible with hours worked i.e. early starts, late finishes when required and to take time off to balance this out when the Embassy’s schedule is less busy.  
- Documented experience as a janitor and/or maintenance worker is an advantage.
- Self-starter, quick learner and team player.
- IT skills are an asset

What we offer
The position is a local, full time employment (39,45 hours per week) with the Embassy. Individual salary applies and the terms and conditions of the employment will be discussed individually with successful candidates.
