Negative COVID-19 test required for entry into Sweden

08 Feb 2021

Starting 6 February, all foreign nationals travelling to Sweden must present a negative COVID-19-test result, not more than 48 hours old, to be allowed entry into Sweden.

The Swedish Government has taken a decision on a compulsory negative COVID-19 test result to enter Sweden, regardless of where they are arriving from. This applies to all foreign travellers.

The aim is to reduce the risk of spreading the new variants of the COVID-19 virus that have been detected in a number of countries.

The regulations entered into force on 6th February 2021, and will apply until 31th March 2021.
