Please contact the mission selected for current status and for the possibility of submission. Information about the Swedish missions can be found on Startpage - Sweden Abroad .

Temporary travel restrictions to Sweden

Before applying for a Schengen visa kindly note that there is an entry ban to Sweden for citizens/residents of countries outside of EU/EES. The entry ban is in effect until August 31, 2021 but might be extended. Some countries are exempted, but not Angola.

Additionally, a granted visa is not a guarantee that you will be able to enter Sweden. It is the Swedish Border Police that decides whether a person can enter Sweden or not, regardless if you have a valid visa or residence permit. If the police assess that a person does not have the right to enter Sweden, the person will be deported with immediate effect. The decision in each individual case will be made upon arrival at the border control point based on the presented documentation.

You will still need a valid passport and necessary permit (residence permit, visa etc.) in order to enter Sweden, even if you are exempted from the entry ban.

For more information about the entry ban, please read the information on the Swedish Police website where you also will find information regarding the different exemptions from the entry ban: https://polisen.se/en/the-swedish-police/the-coronavirus-and-the-swedish-police/travel-to-and-from-sweden/
