Fees

Fees for Schengen visa application

Adults: 80 euro 

Children aged 6-12: 40 euro (no fee for children under 6 years)

Diplomatic passport holders: No fee

The fee should be paid in kwacha equivalent to the stipulated amount in euro. Since the application fee is tied to the euro it is revised regularly. The fee can be changed on short notice.

Please note: VFS Global charges a service fee over and above the visa fee for their services in accordance with the Visa Code.

How to pay

When given an appointment you will receive information about the current fee in kwacha and a bank slip for payment via Stanbic Bank.

NOTE: if the applicant is married to an EU national other rules may apply. Please contact us on ambassaden.lusaka-visum@gov.se for more information.

Fee exemptions

The following applicants pay no fee:

  • Children under six years of age
  • School pupils, students, research students and accompanying teachers on study or training trips.
  • Third-country researchers travelling for the purpose of pursuing scientific research.
  • Representatives of non-governmental organisations who are aged 25 or under, who take part in seminars, conferences, sports events, cultural events or educational events organised by NGOs.
  • Diplomatic passport holders

Citizens of countries that have signed Visa Facilitation Agreements with the EU pay a reduced fee or are exempt from payment. See more information on the Swedish Migration Agency's website.

Visits longer than 90 days

D-visas

Fees for adults and children: 60 euro

Residence permits for visitors

Adults:                                          2000 SEK

Children under the age of 18:   1000 SEK
