    Manchester 4 June

Sweden comes to Manchester on the 4th June!

The Swedish Ambassador, Torbjörn Sohlström and the Mayor of Greater Manchester, Andy Burnham will cohost a business seminar on market growth potential and business opportunities in Greater Manchester.

The meeting will take place at Greater Manchester Combined Authority. The Greater Manchester Local Industrial Strategy will be presented, including the priority areas of health innovation, digital, creative and media, advanced material and manufacturing and clean growth.

The Ambassador will be accompanied by a delegation of Swedish corporates and start-ups who will share their success story in the UK as well as expansion plans, and further discuss with the Mayor the potential challenges in the UK market and policy prerequisites for business growth support.

    Pop-Up Embassy, Tuesday 4 June, 2 - 5pm

    Location: Exchange Square, M3 1BD

You will get the chance to meet the Ambassador of Sweden to the UK, Torbjörn Sohlström, and his colleagues from the Embassy.

We hope to connect with some of the 100,000 Swedes and 1,000 Swedish companies who live and operate in the UK. And of course, we aim to meet as many Britons as possible who are interested in learning more about Sweden.

    • Pop over for some Swedish "fika" (cinnamon buns, biscuits, lingonberry juice and more).
    • Meet some of our sponsors – Scania UK, Fjällräven, Handelsbanken, IKEA, Stena Line and Vattenfall.
    • Participate in our "tipspromenad" (quiz) with a chance to win a piece of Sweden.
    • Ask about Sweden, Swedish-British collaborations, Swedish culture, businesses, language...
