From 25 May to 8 June 2019, the Swedish Embassy will tour the United Kingdom. From Brighton to Edinburgh, we will travel through England, Wales, Northern Ireland and Scotland to meet people, businesses and institutions who together make up the strong relationship between our two countries.
The Ambassador of Sweden to the UK, Torbjörn Sohlström, would like to invite you to a Sweden Day Celebration in Edinburgh, Saturday 8 June, 1-4 pm.

Programme for the day
1.00 pm Doors open
1.30 pm Welcome speech by Ambassador Torbjörn Sohlström and Lord Provost of the City of Edinburgh Frank Ross
1.45 pm Swedish choir to perform Swedish Summer songs
Swedish fika; coffee, tea, strawberry cake and more, will be served throughout the afternoon
Tipspromenad (Swedish treasure hunt / quiz) for children and adults with chances to win a piece of Sweden
Time to meet and talk to the Swedish Ambassador and his colleagues from the Swedish Embassy
Great networking opportunities: meet other Swedes and people with an interest in Sweden and Swedish culture
Bring your children, grandparents and friends for a proper lively family event and a great celebration of Swedish-British-Scottish relations and collaboration.

The Swedish Church in London will celebrate a Sommargudstjänst - Swedish Summer Service
Saturday morning 8 June at 11.30am in St Martins Episcopal Church, 232 Dalry Rd, Edinburgh EH11 2JG
Please feel free to join this Service. Rector Eric Muhl at the Swedish Church, and his colleagues, will also participate in the Sweden Day celebrations. You do not have to register to attend only the Service. The Ambassador will join the Summer Service.
