Apply for a Schengen Visa

Applications for Schengen visa cannot be submitted via the Embassy but must be sumbitted through VFS Global, Swedish Visa Application Centre. 

Visit VFS Global for information about different types of visa and the documents you will need to submit together with your application.

Following British passport holders do not need a visa:

• British 'European Community' passport
• British ' Isle of Man', 'Jersey' and 'Guernsey and its dependencies' passport
• British Subject passport
• British Overseas Territories citizen (BOTC) passport
• British National Overseas (BNO) passport
• British Overseas Citizens (BOC) passport
• British Protected Persons (BPP) passport

All travel documents issued by the UK need a Schengen Visa. Family members of British nationals must follow the national rules and require a visa. They must also provide full documentation according to the visa code. For list of requirements, click here. A visa fee is required.
