The quickest and easiest way to apply for a Schengen visa is at VFS Global in Pretoria, Cape Town or Durban. How to proceed (as well as to book an appointment) is described step-by-step at the VFS Global website.
If you choose this option you shall not present yourself at the Embassy of Sweden in Pretoria nor pay any fees to the Embassy.

If you do not wish to apply at the VFS Global in Pretoria, Cape Town or Durban you must then present your application forms and other documents in person at the Embassy of Sweden in Pretoria, by appoitment only. This option may not be as quick as applying at VFS Global.
How to proceed:
1. Prepare the documentation

For instances you must be in possession of a valid passport; have a medical travel insurance and have booked an air ticket. Additional documents are required pending on the purpose of your visit. 2. Make an appointment
To make an appointment at the Embassy of Sweden, please send us an email: email@example.com.
3. Visit the Embassy
Bring the completed application form, all the required documents, a bank card to pay the application fee (cash is not accepted) or a receipt of pre-payment to the Embassy at the appointed time. If you do not have all the documents with you, there is a risk that your application will be rejected.
