Due to a temporary ban on entering Sweden, the VFS Global Visa Application Centers have stopped accepting visa applications from March 23, 2020 until further notice. In the same period the Embassy of Sweden in Moscow accepts visa applications only of those who belong to the category of people who are allowed to enter Sweden and need a visa. More information you can find here. You should contact the Embassy prior to your application by email: email@example.com.
On 14 September 2015 the central EU Visa Information System (VIS) will be introduced in Russia. This system will make it possible for all Schengen countries to exchange information about short-term visas that are issued to the Schengen area in Russia.
The introduction of the VIS means that you who want to get a visa to Sweden from the 14 September 2015 must submit biometrics (fingerprints) and digital photo. This takes only a few minutes. Biometrics can be submitted both at the Swedish Embassy in Moscow and at the VFS visa centers around Russia. Further information can be obtained at http://evrovisa.info/.
